LuumHR (pronounced "loom") is inspired by the Latin word Lumen, meaning light, clarity, and illumination. The name reflects our mission to bring clarity, innovation, and smarter ways of working to HR

It’s also short, memorable, and a bit quirky — just like the best ideas!

A bit about me

Hi, I'm Jackie Tribbe, founder of LuumHR — and a longtime champion for HR teams who just want their systems to actually work.

I started LuumHR after years of watching brilliant HR people (myself included!) get stuck with tools that made their jobs harder, not easier. They'd inherit systems that didn't make sense, or get handed new software with zero training and a "figure it out" attitude.

After 25+ years in operational HR, I understand the day-to-day challenges inside and out. But I also get how technology works, and more importantly, how to make it work for people. I'm basically your translator: turning "we need it to do this thing" into "here's exactly how we can make that happen."

I work with teams of all sizes to sort out messy processes, clean up chaotic data (yes, that spreadsheet chaos), and get more value from tools they already have. And when it's time to look for something new, I help you choose a system that fits how you actually work.

My job is to make using new tech feel doable, not daunting - and to explain everything in plain English along the way.

When I'm not simplifying systems, you'll usually find me crafting. From crochet to embroidery, I like to turn string into things, and I love it so much I even work part time in my local craft shop :)
